If you enjoy healthy exercise in the outdoors and meeting new people, then Mountain Trails Hiking Club is just for you.
The group joins together for hikes 2-3 times each month, usually on Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays. Hikes range from easy walks in the forest to difficult mountain ascents. All hikes are rated from 1-10 for difficulty, so club members can choose the hikes for which they are best suited.
Many hikes are available for children and pets, and most offer carpool opportunities.
About the Club
For 2025, the club will explore many local trails, including Lovell Gulch Trail, Ute Valley Park, and Aiken Canyon. We are taking on new trails this year, including Big Bluestem and Meadowlark Loop, Voodoo Trail, and Sandstone Ranch Opens Space. Those seeking a greater challenge can take on several mountain climbs, including Cheyenne Mountain, Sentinel Point, and both Grays and Torres Peaks. We have an overnight adventure planned this fall at Rocky Mountain National Park, a fall colors extravaganza at the Maroon Bells, and a return to visit the dinosaur tracks at Picketwire Canyon. Mountain Trails has something for adventurers of all levels.
